Every winter, the Antalya coast becomes one of Europe’s busiest training bases. Football clubs come for mild weather and good pitches during the winter break, cyclists for quiet roads and long climbs in the Taurus mountains, and other teams for hotels that are built around sport. This guide explains what makes the region work and what to arrange for a camp.

Why Antalya and Belek

  • Climate: mild, mostly dry days in winter and spring, when training at home is limited by cold, rain and short days.

  • Facilities: many resorts in Belek, Side, Lara and Kemer have their own grass pitches or work with nearby sports centres, with gyms and recovery areas.

  • Easy logistics: Antalya airport has direct flights from across Europe, and most training hotels are within an hour of it.

  • Opponents nearby: with many clubs in the region at the same time, friendly matches are easy to arrange.

Football camps

The key questions are the pitches (grass quality, number of sessions per day, distance from the hotel), the schedule, and friendlies. We book pitch time per session, arrange referees for friendly matches and plan transfers around the training timetable. Menus can follow the club’s nutrition plan, and quiet hotel areas help the team rest.

Cycling camps

The coast road and the Taurus mountains behind Antalya offer flat recovery rides and long climbs within reach of the same hotel. February to April is the main season. We arrange bike transport, a secure bike room, support vehicles and route planning.

Other sports

Athletics, swimming, triathlon and indoor sports also use the region’s facilities. Tell us what the team needs, and we will match the hotel and venues to it.

Planning checklist

  • Dates and group size: players, staff and any supporters or media.

  • Training facilities: pitch or track type, gym, pool, recovery, meeting room for video sessions.

  • Hotel: distance to the facilities, room plan, separate dining area, nutrition.

  • Transport: airport transfers, daily shuttles, equipment and bikes.

  • Matches and events: opponents, referees, permits where needed.

Sports with KAMPA

We have run training camps on the Antalya coast for European clubs, and the ground organisation of an international UCI cycling event in Casablanca in 2020. One planner handles the whole camp, and our team is on site throughout. See our sports events and camps page or send the details through the form below.
